Unfortunately, I'm now getting crashes :/ I now get an " ED_Alloc: No free edicts" error when I try to leave 2 areas (abandoned chinese restaurant, and Luck E Star motel). It doesn't happen all the time, but enough that it's becoming annoying. It often also seems to be accompanied by the mouse going 'dead' for a moment, where I can't mouselook. I notice quite often that every once in awhile, input seems to 'buffer' for a second or longer, such that even when I press in another direction to move, I continue to move in the original direction and it seems like either new input is rejected, or that it happens several seconds later. Mod tools? Where can one aqcuire them? Or do they even exist?ĥ. Is there some kind of normalization in the sound code I could enable/try?Ĥ. I'm noticing several dialogues where between lines/wavs/mp3s, there's a distinct volume and/or clarity difference while talking with npcs. The game is playable, but I'd really like to be able to get better framerates and such if for no other reason than to try it out.ģ. I'd imagine there's a lot of similarity between this game and HL2, but very few of the tweaks I recall from HL2 are even available.
General performance tips? I don't know if the death of Troika has anything to do with it, or maybe the amount of time that's passed since the game was first released, but I can't seem to find crap about tweaking and such, most likely just because I'm not looking in the right places.
Is there a way to disable switching to 3rd person when I equip a melee weapon? I REALLY hate 3rd person views.Ģ. So after a crapload of time, I've finally started in on Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, and while I'd love to read the plot discussion thread, I'm not even halfway through it yet, so I'm hoping to save myself some "OMG AERIS DIES?!" type stuff, but I've got a few questions I'm hoping some of you veterans can help me out with.ġ.
